Paramount Plus Refund Policy Explained

Paramount+ is a subscription streaming service, so the relevant policy is about cancellation, renewal timing, and refund eligibility rather than product returns. Cancellation generally stops future renewals, but access typically continues until the end of the current billing period. The exact outcome can depend on how the subscription was purchased (directly through Paramount+ versus through a third-party platform such as an app store, device platform, or bundled partner).

For subscriptions purchased directly through Paramount+, cancellation is managed in the account settings. After cancellation, the subscription commonly remains active through the remainder of the paid term (monthly or annual), and the cancellation takes effect at the end of that billing period. For free trials, cancellation typically takes effect at the end of the trial period, preventing conversion to a paid plan. If a promotional offer is applied, the subscription usually continues through the promotional or current billing period unless a refund or credit is granted under applicable terms.

Refunds are not guaranteed for unused time in a billing period. In many cases, fees already paid are not refunded when a subscription is canceled mid-cycle. However, refunds, credits, or discounts may be issued in limited situations (for example, where required by law or where an exception is granted). When evaluating whether to request a refund, it helps to note the purchase channel, the billing date, the plan type (monthly vs. annual), and whether the charge was part of a trial conversion or a plan change.

If the subscription was started through a third party (such as Apple, Google Play, Roku, Amazon, a cable provider, or another bundle partner), cancellation and refunds are typically governed by that third party’s billing rules. In those cases, cancellation usually must be completed through the same platform that processes payment, and any refund request is generally handled by that platform rather than Paramount+. Account deletion, if available through a third-party app, may remove access immediately and still may not create a refund entitlement for the remaining paid time.

For billing disputes or unexpected charges, the most actionable approach is to confirm the billing source shown on the receipt or bank statement, then cancel through the correct channel to prevent additional renewals. If a refund is being requested, contacting support promptly after the charge posts and providing transaction details (date, amount, last four digits, and the email on the account) improves resolution speed. If a charge appears unauthorized, contacting the payment provider to dispute the transaction may be appropriate after attempting standard support channels.
