Credit was not issued order was not placed, was hung up on twice by customer service. Talbots delivery UPS lost the original package. No fault of Talbots or me but Talbots is the seller.
I can now understand why this rating is so low. I have tried to return two items I took on vacation because of the poor quality and I can't find any phone number to help me. I am a long time customer and very frustrated.
I returned a jacket I purchased for &139.00 on June 30th. I received an email stating Talbots received the item and will be processing my credit shortly. They sent me a statement for the month of July stating they needed a payment of 30.00. My jacket was never credited and I sent the 30.00 to avoid a penalty. I called repeatedly for three weeks trying to get my jacket credited since they have possession of the jacket. At the end of July Talbots informed me I needed to make another payment on the jacket????? Again, I sent another 30.00 payment as not to have bad credit as I always pay my bill in full at the end of each month. I again spoke to three different Talbots employees who said the money for the jacket would be credited to my account immediately…. It was not and as of this day which is almost two months later I am out my 139.00 for the jacket I returned and….. the 60.00 I paid as to not get penalties…. This company has gone way down hill in my experiences with them.
Most disappointed with the return instructions. Will carefully consider ordering from Talbots again.
Easy returns when you can take back to the store
My Talbots clothes are almost always perfect. However, when I need a prepaid return label for an item I have to return, the process is AWFUL!!!!!!!!!!!! If this keeps up, I shall not buy anything more from you!
You would not accept my order number, and I know that it was correct.
I have been phoning customer service for 2 days!! No one picks up the phone after 20 minutes or more. All I want is a return label sent via e mail. Also, I planned to order the same item in the next larger size. This will be my last purchase with Talbot. I don't need this kind of punishment.
I have no problem returning an item, no problem printing a return label, just don't receive a refund...has been 3 weeks on some returns....why does it take so long to apply a refund?

I agree with almost ALL comments on this Return Process Review site. Since Comenity took over Talbots credit card, returns are impossible. This is sad, Talbots. I am sure you would love to keep me as a customer, but that is not looking good...
I have tried for 1 hour to get a return label; the system keeps backing me up. I wanted to send this back by USPS. System will not allow a print. I am giving up for the day. Pr obably will call customer service to see if they can help.

I ordered and paid through PayPal I have an order number but cannot get a form to send back unwanted items without proper email address and password. I have the order number but you have to go through an act of congress to get to it. Call Customer Service??? HA I was on hold forever only to get a rep who said he can't help me and would transfer me. So far there is no sound of being transferred.

Can't return to Talbots outlet anymore You won't allow it. Store is 45 minutes away. So using mail of course it costs me but mostly they way you finally can go about getting the return label is absurd. So easy to return to other places. What is wrong with you people

Each time I try to go to a chat or customer support or online return it says the page is blocked. How am i supposed to be able to return an item? Oh I guess thats the idea, Im not. I have never experienced such a difficult time trying to return something from any other store such as JJill, Chicos, Coach.....why is Talbots so customer unfriendly? I've given up. Im sure that's what you hope one will do.
The return process used to be very easy. Now it's a pain in the rear and not the least bit customer friendly. Why did you do away with the return mailing label on the invoice document? Having that label made the return process so easy.
I have been a customer for 25 years and always fairly treated
My total order including sales tax ($11.11)and shipping $8.95) was $149.80. I returned by entire order 1 item was not sewn correctly and the other item did not fit properly. I was told I would have to pay the $8.95 shipping fee for the return to UPS. That would be a credit off my credit card $$140.80. Yet my credit card statement shows the credit from Talbots to be $131.27 a difference of $9.58. I called customer service Steve was helping me and agreed there was an error when he went to check we were disconnected. I called back and I could not understand the woman. Can someone tell me why I am not getting the refund amount I was told I would be getting. Please email me the answer. Thank you

Your return site is impossible to use. Half the time it wont accept the order number and if it does, the site doesn't let me enter my e-mail address. I just had a chat with a customer service rep and she was supposed to e-mail me a return label which hasn't arrived!!!

Returns used to be easy. Not so since new policy/procedures with drop offs. System doesn’t work I always have to call. very disappointed Makes shopping difficult.

Talbots does not include a return label, nor can I find a return label to print out on your website. Very poor way to do business! L.L Bean provides a return label and makes returning items easy if L/L Bean can do this, so can YOU!
It is absolutely absurd that unworn, unwashed items cannot be returned without a ticket. A receipt is sufficient proof of purchase in any other quality store. Talbots, you are making this process ridiculously complicated.

I bought a sweater for $59. It is too big and I needto return it. the nearest store is about 45 minutes away in a heavy traffic are, but if I return by mail i lose another$8.95 which means my shipping charges are almost half the cost of the sweater! Never again!!!

All tole my 2 returns amount to over $200.00 dollars. I would like to receive a call from a Talbots return officer as soon as possible. Your return process is flawed.. go online put in CORRECT order number 3 times and it says it cannot find that order number. I don't find it convenient to shop with Talbots any longer.
This is the first time I have shopped with Talbots (catalog). I will not shop with you again. I am almost 76 years old and this is really too much trouble to read through and to figure out HOW to return shoes that are too narrow and not to my taste. If I can't find an easier way to return them, then the local thrift store will be receiving a pricey pair of new shoes !!!
You know, since you have closed so many stores that I used to be able to shop at, you force us to purchase clothes online and then we have to pay at least $9.00 EACH WAY (total $18.00) if they do not fit well or is not acceptable! I mean, it's the least Talbots can do is to have free shipping for us ALWAYS!
