Men's Wearhouse was founded in 1973 by their iconic founder and spokesman George Zimmer. The company first started as a retail clothing chain aimed at offering affordable business attire for men, but they quickly branched out to becoming a corporate clothing consolidator and purchased several competing companies. Men's Wearhouse skipped chasing fashion trends for a simple look that withstood decades of change. Their clothes were straight forward and designed for people who needed business attire, but didn’t want to bother with designer labels. The company has recently undergone some changes including offering black tie formal attire and facing some pretty big corporate changes. Men's Wearhouse operated independently until 2013 when they were purchased by rival company Jos. A. Bank. Today, Men's Wearhouse continues to operate as a brand owned by Jos. A. Bank.

Men's Wearhouse offers a generous return policy, allowing customers to return items within 90 days of purchase. This policy applies to most items, including suits, shirts, and accessories, provided they are in their original condition with tags attached. The 90-day window gives customers ample time to decide if their purchase meets their expectations, which is particularly beneficial for those buying for special occasions or as gifts.
To initiate a return, customers can visit the Men's Wearhouse website and navigate to the returns section. Here, they can print a return label and send the item back via mail. Alternatively, items can be returned in-store, which is often more convenient for those who live near a Men's Wearhouse location. Refunds are typically processed within a few business days once the returned item is received and inspected.
However, there are some common complaints and pain points associated with the return policy. One issue is that custom-made or altered items are not eligible for return, which can be frustrating for customers who are not satisfied with the fit or finish of their tailored garments. Additionally, some customers have reported delays in receiving their refunds, particularly during peak shopping seasons. It's also important to note that shipping fees are generally not refundable, which can be a downside for online shoppers.
For those looking to exchange an item, the process is similar to returns. Customers can either exchange items in-store or contact customer service for assistance with online exchanges. It's recommended to keep all original packaging and receipts to ensure a smooth return or exchange process. Overall, while the return policy is quite accommodating, customers should be aware of the exceptions and potential delays to avoid any inconvenience.

Horrible customer service when it comes to refunds/returns. If a customer is dissatisfied with their purchase, that customer should be entitled to a seamless return/refund experience. Especially if the items (whether worn or not) are being returned well within the posted 90 day window. Despite the websites policy - It seems it's at the whim of the location-specific manager to approve or not approve returns/refunds ... Word to the wise: they will not want to EVER approve your return/refund - they do not care about their customers.
